The Linnut Sulo LED Battery Light was created by Finland's Oiva Toikka for the Magis label.
Quirky and full of personality thanks to its bird-like form, this lamp is as technically accomplished as it is visually appealing and that is no accident. Toikka was one of Scandinavia's most decorated product designers, and a master at forming glass and plastics into imaginative shapes. In this case, the Linnut Sulo LED Battery Light takes the form of an owl, who glows gently when the LED bulb is switched on, creating a magical effect.
Two sizes of Linnut Sulo lamp are available, with dimensions of 13.5 x 21.5 x 13.5 cm or 31 x 50 x 30 cm - but they would look great as a pair. Each lamp is made from translucent ABS polycarbonate, which has a slightly marbled finish. This ensures that the glow of the LEDs is cast evenly and insistently - the ideal setup for outdoor tables and garden illumination. Toikka's Linnut "birds" collection was inspired by nature, and will add to any external space while also providing a charming addition to bedroom tables and studies.
