white/laminate with aluminum edge/chromed steel base/LxWxH 180/300120x72
The B619 Super Eliptical Extension Table Laminate has been created by Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson and Arne Jacobsen for the brand Fritz Hansen. The design of the table was inspired by a super elliptical roundabout that Hein designed as a solution to the traffic problem at Sergels Torg in Stockholm. Matheson and Jacobsen came up with the base design of the table. Part of a series of tables by the three designers, the B619 Super Eliptical Extension Table Laminate is the most popular table in the series. It has an oval-shaped tabletop made of laminate or walnut. The tabletop rests on a frame made of powder-coated steel. Rather than straight legs, the table has v-shaped legs that go into the tubular stem at the bottom. The unusual design of the legs adds to its distinctive look. The legs are detachable, thereby allowing for the table to be extended to make room for more people. When fully extended, it can comfortably seat 12.
The B619 Super Eliptical Extension Table Laminate has a height of 72cm, a width of 120cm and a length of 180 cm to 300cm. It is available in a selection of neutral colours.
