The stylish Mono Rug 180x300cm was designed by Lina Rickardsson for the manufacturing label Pappelina.

Founded by Rickardsson in 1993, Papelina has become internationally renowned for its creation of beautiful and high-quality rugs. Plastic rugs were originally popular during the 1950s and 60s but are now experiencing a revival due to their high quality craftsmanship, durability and versatility.

The Mono Rug 180x300cm is weaved in a mill close to Rickardsson's home in Sweden. Using a traditional loom and wooden shuttles, each rug is created individually by hand. Plastic foil is used in the manufacture of the rug, which is created from raw plastic, ensuring that no environmentally hazardous heavy metals or harmful softeners make their way into the finished product. With welded ribbon for strength and durability, the rug is suitable for use in areas with heavy footfall, such as hallways or living rooms. Due to the water resistance of the rug, it's also suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms and thanks to its robustness, it can even be used outside. Available in a variety of colours, you can choose the rug that best suits your interior design colour scheme.
