The contemporary Duo Carpet Runner 85x260cm was created by Lina Rickardsson for her Swedish company pappelina.

Weaving enthusiast Rickardsson established her company pappelina with her first mass order of linen rugs and paper placemats. She then experimented with some colourful '70s-style plastic ribbons, weaving them using the classic 'rag rug' method. As she developed a new tying technique, she created a completely unique rug that would become the first of its kind. It turned out to be highly popular and has become internationally successful. Rickardsson's rugs have been awarded the Formex Formidabel distinction for best textile and are regarded as classics of Scandinavian design.
