The Fiore 139 Wall Lamp was created by Marta Laudani and Marco Romanelli for Oluce.
Since its launch in 1945, Oluce has typified elegant Italian design with its groundbreaking lighting. Laudani and Romanelli have worked together since 1988 from their studios in Milan and Rome. Both are influential in the field of interior design education and publishing.
Designed in 2007, the Fiore 139 Wall Lamp is a deliberate look back to the 1970's and the world of flower power. The lamp resembles a flower with petals radiating out from its centre. The patterns it creates when switched on emphasise this floral appearance. Walls can be effectively covered in flowers, whether the setting is classic and elegant or totally contemporary. The wall lamp is crafted from transparent blown glass with a chromium-plated metal setting that gives both a direct and a diffused light. With its compact diameter of 13.5cm and width of 13cm, the Fiore 139 Wall Lamp fits stylishly into any room of the home and complements other lighting pieces designed by Laudani and Romanelli. Although a wall lamp, it can also be mounted on the ceiling and is ideal for illuminating alcoves.
