Alba Wall Lamp

The Alba Wall Lamp has been created by Mariana Pellegrino Soto for the brand Oluce. Literally sunrise in Spanish, Alba was actually inspired by the form of water droplets and it makes fine use of blown glass and brass to being a touch of natural beauty to home interiors.

The Alba Wall Lamp is structurally simple, but technically advanced. It features a disc-shaped luminaire made from opal blown glass, which in turn attaches to a right-angled bracket made from satin finished brass. The luminaire has a water droplet shape, reflecting the designer's aesthetic project. With its muted glow, it will be ideal for small and medium sized rooms, and would work beautifully in corridors as well.

The Alba Wall Lamp comes in two sizes: a smaller model measuring 32cm tall 26cm in diameter and 20cm deep, and a larger version measuring 39cm wide, 32cm in diameter and 24cm deep. In both cases, the luminaire is allowed to take centre stage by the restrained composition of the frame, which nevertheless offers ample support and strength. Light is provided by a single energy efficient bulb. The appropriate bulb with the E27 socket is not supplied with the lamp but can be ordered under accessories.
