Butterfly Wall Lamp

The Butterfly Wall Lamp has been created by Sven I. Dysthe for the brand Northern. Butterfly first appeared in 1964 and has become one of Norwegian label Northern 's most popular creations. Echoing the delicacy of butterflies themselves, this wall lamp blends organic motifs with clear modern geometries and exceptional functionality, making it a handy addition to rooms around the home.

The Butterfly Wall Lamp has a distinctive form made from a folded sheet of steel or brass which is available in an off-white or natural metallic finish. This folded design isn't accidental. While it brings to mind butterfly wings, it also allows the lamp to cast a warm, indirect beam of light, providing relaxing ambient illumination without a hint of glare. The light source is contained inside the fold of the shade, and an on/off cord dangles underneath.

The lamp is designed to supplement main lights or line hallways and stairwells. It measures 20cm wide and 10cm deep while it has a height of 21cm. It comes supplied with a 200cm long cable and weighs just 1.1kg, and the Butterfly Wall Lamp can also be externally dimmed as needed. A single bulb is required, and the appropriate lamp with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
