Product description

The Amp Table Lamp was developed by Simon Legald for the manufacturer Normann, a Danish firm that has become a leading name in Scandinavian design since the turn of the millennium.

Although only a recent graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Simon Legald has already established himself as a prolific freelance designer, the creator of many pieces for Normann and other furniture brands. His signature style is notable for its graceful simplicity and sense of harmony.

As its name suggests, the Amp Table Lamp borrows its strikingly retro looks from the tube amps found in vintage audio equipment, an effect heightened by subtle details such as the use of marble for the base and a decorative, antique-style carbon filament bulb as the light source. Measuring 26cm in height and 14cm in width, the piece features a blown glass diffuser which is available in a selection of finishes. Buyers can opt between a milky opaque version and a selection of translucent tints which leave the lamp's innards visible. Fashionably steampunk in feeling without being overstated, the Amp Table Lamp will make an eye-catching addition to refurbished period dwellings.
