The Flight Linear Wall Lamp was developed by Roberto Paoli for the manufacturer Nemo.
Co-founded in 1993 by entrepreneur Franco Cassina and designer Carlo Forcolini, this company has gone from strength to strength over the ensuing decades to become a leading force in the field of Italian luxury lighting. Roberto Paoli has created lighting, accessories and household items for some of the top European interior décor brands. Notable for their deceptively simple forms and pure, clean lines, his pieces have won multiple industry prizes.
Recipient of the Chicago Good Design Award in 2011, the Flight Linear Wall Lamp from Nemo is an example of Roberto Paoli's fastidious minimalism. Measuring 76cm in length, it consists of a strip of aluminium bent over on itself and housing a fluorescent light source. The aluminium reflector cuts off glare from the sides and directs the light upwards, and when the lamp is switched off, its matte, monochrome finish allows it to recede discreetly into the surrounding wall. Perfect for illuminating paintings, prints and other decorative features, the Flight Linear Wall Lamp is an understated lighting solution that goes well with most modern, uncluttered interior design schemes.
