The Silhouette Kilim Rug was designed by Jaime Hayon for the brand Nanimarquina .

Named after its owner, the Nanimarquina label was launched in Barcelona in 1987. It has become well known for its artistic rugs and floor coverings that mix high-quality materials with traditional production techniques. Jaime Hayon blends his Spanish heritage with a background in industrial design and art to create interior design pieces such as his rug collections. He won the Edida Designer of the Year Award in 2016.

This Silhouette Kilim Rug is a part of a range that includes wall hangings as well as floor coverings for both indoor and outdoor use. The rug is embroidered with nine delicate silhouettes of imaginary characters worked in subtle colours. They intertwine across the composition, creating a piece that can be admired from any perspective. The design is embroidered on a handspun kilim made from 100% natural wool. Kilims are durable flat-weave high-density rugs in which warp and weft strands are interwoven on a loom. This technique of adding hand embroidery to kilims was developed by Nani Marquina. The Silhouette Kilim Rug is available in three sizes, 120 x 150 cm, 170 x 240 cm and 200 x 300 cm.
