The Mélange Colour 1 Kilim / Wool Carpet was designed by Sybilla for the Spanish label Nanimarquina. Beautifully coloured, handmade and soft to touch, this is an exquisite rug that can be used in almost any domestic situation.

Sybilla started out in the 80s as a high-profile Spanish fashion designer. However, after a break in her career, she has returned as a fabric designer, applying her artistic sensibility to the challenge of creating attractive rugs, usually for the Nanimarquina brand. Motivated by her personal journey towards living a sustainable lifestyle, these rugs are all handmade by traditional Asian artisans from 100% natural wool - a combination that sets them apart from the crowd.

In the case of the Mélange Colour 1 Kilim / Wool Carpet, Sybilla has arranged four coloured sections which harmonise well, an effect that is accentuated by the beautiful grain of the handspun wool. Every strand in the carpet has been meticulously spun to a density of 156,000 knots per square metre, making it strong, flexible and soft.

Measuring either 170 x 240 cm or 200 x 300 cm, this rug can be used wherever you need it: in the living room to complement sofas and coffee tables or outside as a temporary patio cover.
