The Flora Promenade Rug Rectangular was designed by Santi Moix for the brand Nanimarquina .

Nanimarquina was launched in Barcelona in 1987 and uses high-quality materials and hand production techniques to create rugs designed by Nani Marquina and other talented designers. Santi Moix is an artist who paints, draws, sculpts and designs. For his storytelling rugs, he takes inspiration from literature, 15th-century Indian paintings and the work of artists such as Delacroix and Pollock.

For the Flora Promenade Rug Rectangular , Moix uses biomorphic flowers and a large colour palette to explore the parallels between life and death. Each bloom is carefully chosen to create a balance between scale and colour. The rug is crafted from 100% pure wool using a pistol-like tool to punch fibres into a stretched fabric base. Before work starts, a template is digitally transferred onto the base. Once finished, the design is fine-tuned with scissors and the strands cut to a pile height of 1cm. The reverse of the rug is then protected with a layer of latex and covered with fabric to create a high-quality finish. The Flora Promenade Rug Rectangular is available in two sizes, 170 x 240 cm and 200 x 300 cm.
