The contemporary Stacked 2.0 Shelf System 8 was created by Julien de Smedt for the Scandinavian designers Muuto.
This design comes from Julien de Smedt, an architect and designer based in Brussels and Copenhagen who runs his own company, JDS Architects. His visionary designs are always pushing boundaries of what is normal and acceptable, and his success is evident in the many industry awards that he has won. In Finnish, the word ?muutos? means change, which is very apt for this flexible, modular storage system.
The Stacked 2.0 Shelf System 8 is a very flexible solution because of the way it can be rearranged to totally change the look and function of the unit as a whole. Built from high-quality MDF with a three-layered lacquer finish, the eleven separate modules in different sizes (some with backs, some without) can be arranged and combined however you wish. 15 steel clips are provided so that you can slot together the modules with ease, and two pedestals in oak are included for bringing the unit a few centimetres off the ground. Simply arrange your cubic storage unit in the way that suits your bedroom, living room or office.
