Luz Chair

The Luz Chair was designed by Bernhard Müller for the More  label. With its elegant use of wood, it makes a nod to the golden age of design in the 1950s, with plenty of contemporary features as well.

Müller was born in 1965, but has been a keen student of design history, resulting in products like the Luz Chair,  which could have adorned the most stylish executive offices in 50s America. He has also been a regular partner for Hamburg label More , which seeks to create "meaningful" pieces which form pivotal parts of the lives of owners. You can see that commitment in the Luz Chair .

The chair measures 58 x 79 x 56 cm and has been fashioned from rich American walnut and lacquered oak. The two part back and seat combination wraps around the sitter naturally, offering optimal support, while extra stability is guaranteed by the four-legged steel base. It can be stacked and stored with ease, although with its beautiful grain and graceful curves. However, putting away the Luz Chair may prove difficult, and it will serve well both as a home chair for dining rooms or studies, and as a seating option for business environments.
