The Love Sofa was designed by Marcel Wanders for furniture label Moooi.

Wanders was born in 1963 in Boxtel, the Netherlands. He graduated from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in 1988 and opened his own design studio in Amsterdam in 1995. Just a year later in 1996, he attracted worldwide critical acclaim with his iconic Knotted Chair, which combined cutting-edge materials with low-tech, traditional production techniques. He is the co-founder of successful design label Moooi, which has realised over 1,700 projects so far. His prolific career has been recognised with numerous design prizes, including the Rotterdam Design Prize and the Kho Liang le Prize.

The sweetly-named Love Sofa is dedicated to the most wonderful feeling in the world. The bright burst of orange provided by the cushions and seating pad contrast with the more earthy, rustic tones of the backrest and legs, speaking of the different types of love that we experience and the warm feelings they bring. As love is long-lasting, so too is the chair's construction, with a steel frame and ash wood legs that provide firm support. The chair is 129cm wide, 77cm high and 77cm deep, letting you sit comfortably for long periods of time.
