This stylish Striped Stool 78 was designed by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec for the Italian manufacturer Magis.
Magis began life near Venice in northeastern Italy in 1976 and quickly gained acclaim for its product line that melded innovation with practicality. Bold in its adoption of new materials such as high-end plastics, the firm has a tradition of collaborating with noted young designers such as the Bouroullec brothers, Jasper Morrison, and Stefano Giovannoni. Each has added his own particular genius to the firm's creative mix to produce a succession of award-winning products that bring value and utility to homes, gardens and offices worldwide.
This Striped Stool 78 features a frame of steel tubing which has been cataphoretically-treated and then painted in polyester powder. The slatted seat is formed from injection-moulded polyamide. The result is a tough and durable item that's ideal for outdoor use in all weathers. Stackable up to four-deep for ease of storage, this stool measures 51 cm in length by 40 cm in width, and has a seat height of 78 cm. With its clean lines and durable build, it makes the perfect 'happy hour' seating for home kitchens and gardens, and alfresco bars and cafes.
