The elegantly minimalist Officina Coat Hook was created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Magis.
Founded in 1976, Magis is a leading company in the design world that's committed to creating high-quality products which perfectly fuse function with a poetic aesthetic and ethical production. The company works in collaboration with the world's major design talents, like the Bouroullec brothers, with whom they have enjoyed a long-term, fruitful partnership. Based in Paris, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have worked together since the early 2000s. For the Officina collection, the Bouroullec brothers created stunning, modern pieces with the ancient tradition of iron forging. The wall-mounted Officina Coat Hook is the perfect, alluring mix of a centuries-old fabrication process and minimal yet playful design.
A sturdy forged iron frame coated in polyester powder is offset by the hourglass-shaped rubber hooks which closely resemble a diabolo juggling toy. The coat or jacket hangs securely and stylishly between the two rubber cups. It is 37cm in height, 6cm in width and 19cm in depth. This award-winning wall-mounted piece is a unique and impressive addition to any wall space used for hanging coats or jackets.
