The Ivy LED Wall Lamp was designed by Francisco Gomez Paz for the manufacturer Luceplan.
Luceplan is one of the world's foremost light manufacturers, an Italian company that has been producing award-winning lighting solutions since 1978. Argentinian designer Francisco Gomez Paz has created numerous lights for the brand, including the stunning, ethereal Ivy LED Wall Lamp.
Like birds in flight or an ivy plant creeping up the wall, the lamp possesses an abstract biomorphic quality. Each of the five shades appears as light as a piece of paper, with a folded appearance reminiscent of Japanese origami. The bend in each squared shade helps project the light to the wall. The shades are constructed in a lightweight copper and appear to float of their own free will. A hidden LED bulb travels atop the five shades, creating an uplighting effect. The shades increase in size from bottom to top, with the light therefore intensifying as it rises up the wall. The bulbs are operated by a single dimmable switch, subtly positioned beneath the lowest shade. The entire light measures 18cm in height and 18cm in width and has a depth of 14 cm.
