Washington Skeleton Chair

The Washington Skeleton Chair was designed by David Adjaye OBE for the brand Knoll International.

Since 1938, Knoll International has been creating modern interiors inspired by a fusion of the German Bauhaus Movement and American Modernism. The label's work has always been characterised by clean organic lines and excellent craftsmanship. David Adjaye, OBE is recognised as one of the world's leading architects. His architectural background influences his product design. Among his many prestigious prizes is Design Miami's Designer of the Year Award.

Carefully proportioned and balanced, the Washington Skeleton Chair is both functional and sculptural and adds geometric elegance to any outdoor setting. It is fashioned from lightweight die-cast aluminium which is powder-coated in a choice of shades. The back and seat are crafted into a fine geometric lattice which gives the chair its 'skeleton' name. The body of the seat sits on asymmetrical legs that bring an extra dimension to the chair's uniqueness. These are attached to the seat with a tough mortise and tenon joint. The designer's signature and the manufacturer's logo are discreetly located under the seat. The Washington Skeleton Chair measures 46 x 83 x 51 cm.
