Product description
The Super Impossible Armchair has been created by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet for the brand Kartell. The chair gets its intriguing name from the fact that it has overcome the seemingly impossible challenge of fusing two separate components together to form a durable shell for a chair. The difficulty was in doing this without using glue. The objective was achieved by using laser technology to weld the two parts together in order to form a shell that had different colour tones on the inside and the outside.
Made of mass-coloured polycarbonate, the Super Impossible Armchair has an oval-shaped shell. It has a standard height wide backrest and a seat that is also well-sized. The outer shell has four legs that hold up the chair. The two at the front are straight while the others are angled outwards for improved stability and durability.
The Super Impossible Armchair has a width of 55cm, a height of 84cm and a depth of 54cm. It is available with a white front and black outer surface and frame. Indoors, the chair can be used around a kitchen or dining table. The material it is made of also makes it suitable for use outdoors.
