Frilly Chair

The Frilly Chair has been created by Patricia Urquiola for the brand Kartell. The design of the chair is inspired by some moments of pure natural beauty. These are waterfalls, lava that has hardened and long blades of grass blowing in the wind.

The Frilly Chair is made of transparent or batch-dyed polycarbonate. It has vertical lines resembling pleats that represent the three occurrences that inspired the designer. It has a high, broad backrest that has a lower side that is concave while the top of it is straight. The seat is also generously sized.

The Frilly Chair has a width of 47cm, a height of 78cm and a depth of 47cm. The seat height of 46cm. The polycarbonate that it is made of makes the chair suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. It can conveniently be stacked for storage though not more than five chairs or it may fall. It is available in transparent and white. Frisbee-shaped seat pads that fit the seat are available for purchase separately. They come in different colours from neutral choices to bold, colourful ones. They are padded and covered with soft and durable felt upholstery.
