The Clio Chair has been created by Jan Kurtz for the brand Jan Kurtz. It is a retake of the classic chair. The upgrade of materials used and the subtle aesthetic features give it a whole new industrial look.
The Clio Chair has a backrest that is high and wide. Its edges are curved slightly to hug the back. The seat is also well-sized. Its lower edges have the same aesthetic of a curve that turns downwards just slightly. Both the seat and backrest are made of multiple layers of moulded plywood with a laminate top. The shell is supported by a frame made of tubular steel rods. They make up the legs that are straight at the front and outspread at the back. The rods that go up to the back of the backrest are slanted inwards which adds another understated decorative feature.
The Clio Chair has a width of 52cm, a height of 80cm and a depth of 52cm. Its seat height is 46cm. It comes in neutral colours. The classic style of this chair makes it suitable for use around a kitchen or dining table or at a desk. It can also be used in offices, waiting rooms, meeting rooms and institutions.
