The unusual ManOMan Suspension Lamp was created by leading German design company Ingo Maurer.
The company was founded in the mid-1960s in Munich. They now work from their large warehouse with a team of 60 people, creating beautiful yet functional lighting solutions for customers around the world. The ManOMan Suspension Lamp comes from the imagination of Ingo Maurer, who gave the company its name. Maurer is an industrial designer who studied graphic design in Munich before working for various companies in the USA. In 1984 he created his low-voltage wire system which he named YaYaHo and was shown at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
The ManOMan Suspension Lamp is a striking contemporary light fixture. It is made from lacquered metal and formed from several freely suspended light bars. The shape of the light changes depending on the position of the viewer so that it never gets boring; it creates beautiful, captivating patterns with light and shadows. It was designed for spacious rooms with high ceilings and, therefore, has the space to make a real impact. It has a height of 45cm and a diameter of 300cm. It takes 14x halogen pin G9 / 60W bulbs.
