Since it was founded in 2002, HAY has been collaborating with talented and award-winning designers to produce contemporary furniture and accessories for both domestic and public settings. Its products are always a successful blend of form and function. Having started work as a cabinet-maker, German-based Stefan Diez progressed to exploring other materials including metal. He has won many accolades for his furniture including the Red Dot Best of Design and the iF Gold awards.

One of Stefan Diez's most popular and successful ranges of furniture design is his New Order collection. The New Order Shelf With Door 100x115cm is a part of this modular system of storage and shelving that can be arranged and customised to suit individual needs and environments. The design features a lightweight frame of powder-coated aluminium finished in a variety of colours. The unit has four shelves. The bottom one is enclosed by two doors in a wood finish, while the top shelf is a tray providing handy storage space for small home and office accessories.
