Never one to follow the crowd, Danish designer Welling likes to chart his own path with flair and great finesse. He did it again with the A bout a Chair AAC 22 Armchair Upholstered Soaped Oak. It has a frame made of soaped oak and a shell that is not upholstered. The frame is made of soaped oak that is as strong as it is beautiful with its light-coloured grain. The chair's legs do not have the customary straight shape. Rather, they are spread outwards, making the chair more comfortable and stable. Gliders ensure that the chair can be moved around smoothly without damaging the surface it stands on. The shell is made of injection moulded polypropylene and is not upholstered. The shell, seat and armrests are one piece, giving the chair a sleek, clean profile.
