One of Scandinavia's most successful contemporary design houses, Hee Welling's studio focuses on simplifying traditional forms and applying the artistry of a sculptor to create attractive, distinctively Scandinavian products. Working out of Copenhagen, Welling is a natural fit for HAY, which is probably Denmark's most prominent furniture design label.

In this case, Welling's About a Chair 14 Office Chair with Wheels represents his take on the standard office chair. Mounted on four stable, multidirectional castors, the chair measures 77 x 52cm and has an adjustable seat height of 46cm - ideal for most desks. The body of the chair has been fashioned from lightweight polypropylene plastic, while aluminium was chosen for the base, ensuring that the chair has the lightest possible footprint. This makes it even more mobile when moving around offices or transporting the chairs for storage. Beautiful and functional in equal measure, this is a chair that will enhance any workspace.
