Product description

The Stemlite Floor Lamp H 110cm has been created by Bill Curry for the brand Gubi. First introduced in 1962, Stemlite was a classic of post-war American design. Abandoning base and shade combinations, it pioneered a futuristic one-piece lamp design which made it a common sight on Star Trek sets and offices alike.

Revamped by Gubi using modern techniques, the Stemlite Floor Lamp H 110cm is based around an oval-shaped diffuser made from frosted blown glass. This diffuser measures 38cm in diameter and 20cm tall, and rests on a slender column, with fluted connections at either end. Formed from lacquered steel, the spine of the lamp is 110cm tall and connects to a 25cm diameter round base. The final form still captures the imagination with its unified look, casting a bright but glare-free light across surrounding areas.

The Stemlite Floor Lamp H 110cm comes with a 220cm long grey textile covered cable, allowing owners to place it wherever makes the most sense. The lamp can be controlled via a rotary switch located on the base and it accommodates a single bulb. The appropriate bulb with the E27 socket is not supplied with the lamp but can be ordered under accessories.
