Beetle Garden Chair

The Beetle Garden Chair has been created by GamFratesi for the brand Gubi. As the name suggests, Beetle resembles the common insect, with angular legs and a rounded shell. Playfully designed and superbly comfortable, this version will be an excellent outdoor chair for dining and relaxation.

The shell of the Beetle Garden Chair is made from moulded polypropylene plastic which has been formed into a pair of linked bowls. The edges are carefully rounded to partially enclose the sitter, which makes the chair more comfortable to use and, with a width of 56cm and depth of 58cm, there should be room to accommodate most sitters easily.

The shell rests on a four-legged base that is also made from polypropylene, and the two elements have the same colour scheme. This gives the Beetle Garden Chair a pleasingly unified look, avoiding any jarring details. Additionally, the Beetle chair has been designed with outdoor use in mind. The surfaces have been finished to protect against UV rays and moisture, while at 6.2kg the design is light enough to move easily when rain arrives. Stylish, durable and comfortable, Beetle will make outdoor socialising even more enjoyable.
