Sweet 91 Suspension Lamp

The Sweet 91 Suspension Lamp was created by Paola Navone for the manufacturer Gervasoni.

Based in Italy, this company has been making luxury furniture for over 140 years, keeping true to its principles of accessible design and hand-crafted quality. Since the late 1990s, Paolo Navone has devoted much of her energy to masterminding Gervasoni's range of products, but she has also found time to teach, organize exhibitions and carry out freelance assignments. Although constantly forward looking, her work often reflects her fondness for traditional arts and crafts.

Made from woven PVC plastic, the Sweet 91 Suspension Lamp is a great way of introducing texture into a contemporary living room or bedroom. Its poly rattan construction gives it an intriguingly spiky finish and also helps to create a pleasantly dappled and varied illumination. Measuring 29cm in height and 26cm in diameter, it has a roughly conical shape which, together with its uneven exterior, gives it an attractively seashell-like appearance. Its glossy monochrome finish is complemented by a striped power cord.
