The VIA57? Armchair was designed by KiBiSi for the brand Fritz Hansen.

The company was founded by a Danish carpenter of the same name in 1872 and quickly gained a reputation for well made, beautifully designed, cutting edge furniture. KiBisi is a collaboration of Swedish designers who use current design theory to make original, innovative pieces for 21st century living. These include such diverse items as aircraft and bicycles, as well as furniture for Fritz Hansen.

With comfort and economy of line in mind, the VIA57? Armchair is based on a rounded square shape, arranged 'cross-ways', like a diamond. The VIA57? Armchair is supported by a solid oak frame and has four oak legs with rounded ends. Upholstered in durable fabric, the chair comes in a wide range of attractive colours. The seat is firmly padded and the lines of the VIA57? Armchair are curved and piped to highlight the 'cross-ways' design. This is an armchair that is ideal for the environment of a modern home for use as an occasional chair. Alternatively, grouped together the chairs would give architectural interest and flair to a minimalist professional setting.
