Stub Side Table Oak

The Stub Side Table Oak has been created by Mette Schelde for the brand Fritz Hansen. Danish architect and industrial designer Schelde is inspired by geometry, nature and the world in general. This and her respect for Nordic design tradition lead her to create pieces that have timeless aesthetics and clean, uncluttered silhouettes. This is well represented in the Stub Side Table Oak. The beauty of this table is its simplicity. Inspired and named after wooden stumps, this side table is made of a wooden stump that has a circular glass tabletop placed on it. There are no visible screws or joinery on the tabletop, making it appear to float above the stump. The glass, which is tempered, is cut at an angle of 45 degrees and then integrated into the stump. The stump is made of lacquered oak. It is hollow and finished with two sheets of exterior veneer.

The Stub Side Table Oak has a diameter of 49cm and a height of 44.5cm. It will add simple elegance to any room in the house. It is also ideal for commercial uses such as in offices, restaurants, hotels and waiting rooms and receptions areas. Its beauty is in its simplicity.
