The Ball Glass Suspension Lamp Ø18cm has been created by Benny Frandsen for the brand Frandsen. The Ball Lamp collection has attained iconic status since being introduced in the 1960s. Now, the brand responsible has released an updated set of lamps using the Ball motif, and the Ball Glass Suspension Lamp Ø18cm is one of the finest examples.

The centrepiece of the Ball Glass Suspension Lamp Ø18cm is the rounded luminaire. As with all Ball lamps, it has a cut off base which creates a broad aperture for light to escape. In this case, the luminaire has been sculpted from opal glass, meaning that a gentle light also passes through the surface - ideal for illuminating smaller and medium sized rooms around the home.

The Ball Glass Suspension Lamp Ø18cm has a 300cm cable and measures 15cm tall. The diffuser is 18cm wide, while the lamp connects to a 10cm wide ceiling canopy. The economical use of steel and glass keeps the weight down to 1kg, making installation relatively easy. The appropriate bulb with the E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
