Air Suspension Lamp

The Air Suspension Lamp has been created by Tony Rie for the brand Frandsen. Air is a signature collection of pendant lamps from Rie, who is one of the core designers at the Danish label. With its opal white glass materials and playful shapes, it will add a touch of enchantment wherever it is used.

Intended to evoke a "lighter than air" feeling, the Air Suspension Lamp makes an immediate impression with its white glass exterior. Made from a pairing of irregular domes, the luminaire size varies. Smaller models of the suspension lamp measure 25.5cm by 22cm, there is a medium sized model measuring 32.5cm by 28cm, and a large model with the dimensions 39cm by 34cm.

The shade of the Air Suspension Lamp hangs from a 300cm long black fabric covered cable, which can be adjusted to different lengths. Light escapes outwards through the translucent glass luminaire, but also downwards via an opening in the base. And thanks to its energy efficient bulb, the lamp is powerful enough to light medium sized rooms. Bulbs are not supplied with the lamp. However, the appropriate bulb with the E27 socket can be ordered under accessories if required.
