Product description

The Yumi Floor Lamp was designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban for the Italian design lighting manufacturer FontanaArte.

The Yumi Floor Lamp presents itself to its observer as a delicate bow lamp made of fine carbon fibre. The inside of the delicately designed beam is entirely filled out and is made of different, layered materials aluminium, carbon fibre, glass fibre . The high-performance LED illuminants of the Yumi Floor lamp are located inside the slim lamp head including a cooling element, and provide direct light emission. As base for this lamp serves a flat disc made of black lacquered metal.

The generous size of the arch successfully shows how the combination of carbon fibre with other materials can produce standing lights with high mechanical resistance and unique lightness.

The Yumi Lamp by Fontana Arte guarantees high energy savings thanks to the long-lasting LED illuminant. The electrical cord is integrated into the structure and therefore hidden.
