The Nobi Suspension Lamp was designed by Metis for furniture label Fontana Arte.
Architects Marinella Patetta and Claudio Valent, both experts in lighting design with numerous years of experience, met at the Piero Castigliono and founded Metis Lighting a few years later in 1989. In the early nineties, the duo designed the Nobi series, a collection renowned for walking the line between technical and decorative lighting. The collection was immediately successful and remains some of Fontana Arte's best-selling pieces. Metis pieces are often minimalist, functional and space-enhancing, working to enhance the surrounding area rather than distract from it.
The Nobi Suspension Lamp features a modern styling, with a long metal arm leading down to a sandblasted glass lampshade set within a metal circle. The design of the lamp is reminiscent of a mirror or the arm of a pendulum, lending an air of contemporary chic that enhances the mood of indoor spaces, including living rooms, hallways and studies. There are two size options: 49cm in height with a 66cm suspension arm and 36cm with a 66cm arm. The lamp is constructed in durable glass, metal and aluminium and features a swivel function, allowing you direct light as desired.
