The stylish Luminator Floor Lamp was created by Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Achille Castiglioni for leading Italian lighting firm Flos.
With a name that means 'flower' in Latin, Flos was formed in Merano in 1962 to create new lighting concepts for the discerning customer. Today, it is an international organisation offering distinctive lamps for consumers in retail stores along with customised lighting solutions for businesses such as hotels, offices and shops. Masterpieces of the creative realm where art and technology meet, many of the firm's lighting creations are now part of classic collections and are recognised the world over for their functionality and innovative excellence.
With its slender cylinder rising from a triangular stand, the Luminator Floor Lamp is a strikingly modern item though its design dates back decades. The unit is crowned with a diffuser of 6cm. Manufactured from durable steel, this floor lamp takes one standard E27/100Watt bulb with an energy efficiency of grade F. The unit is 189cm in height, 60cm in width, with a cable length of 280cm. Operation is a breeze via a foot switch on the power cord. This is an ideal, ambient lighting solution for bedrooms, studies and living and dining rooms.
