The Edison the Petit Cooper Cappie Lampshade was designed by Alex Bergman for the Dutch label Fatboy.
Fatboy is an eccentric lifestyle brand that challenges traditional furnishing concepts to create sustainable and fun products. The label's first line included what is now its iconic bean bag designed by Jukka Setala in 2002 who launched the brand along with Alex Bergman.
The double-barrelled name of the Edison the Petit Cooper Cappie Lampshade is a tribute to the late Tommy Cooper, the much-loved British comedian and conjurer, combined with Alex Bergman's nickname, "Cappie". With a shape modelled on the trademark red fez of Tommy Cooper and its height of 25cm and diameter of 16cm, the lampshade is perfectly designed to fit the Edison the Petit Light. Available in a wide range of colours, patterns and pictures, the Edison the Petit Cooper Cappie Lampshade perfectly catches a full range of lifestyle moods or festival and party themes. It brings an extra dimension to the gentle yet powerful light given out by the Edison the Petit portable lamp. Made from tough plastic, the lampshade is dirt and moisture repellent and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
