Mantis BS1 B Floor Lamp

The Mantis BS1 B Floor Lamp has been created by Bernard Schottlander for the brand DCW. The Mantis Lamp resembles the predatory insect of the same name with its super-slender lines and slanted profile. It will be ideal for illuminating reading areas and lounges but can also work well in bedrooms and studies.

The Mantis BS1 B Floor Lamp is 150cm in height when fully extended. However, one can pivot the lamp via a joint on the base and orient the light in a specific direction. The shade takes the form of a broadened cone measuring 27cm in diameter and it casts a strong light downwards. The column is made from robust but slender steel, while the shade is formed from aluminium - a combination which keeps the weight down to 4kg.

The Mantis BS1 B Floor Lamp is anchored by a round 29cm diameter base, and the whole ensemble has a width of 69cm. It comes with a 200cm fabric covered cable attached, and this also contains the on/off switch. The appropriate bulb with an E14 socket can be ordered under accessories.
