The Bell Miniature Side Table Ø10cm was created for ClassiCon by German designer Sebastian Herkner.
Herkner studied at the Offenbach University of Art and Design where he developed his passion for new technologies and classic craftsmanship. While at university, he won an internship in London with Stella McCartney which, he says, stimulated his awareness of materials, colours and textures.
After graduating, Herkner founded his own design studio in Offenbach. As well as working on design fairs and exhibitions, he also focused on making everyday objects for leading design companies including ClassiCon. His many awards include the 2015 EDIDA Elle International Design Award for best International Newcomer and in 2016 he was guest of honour at imm Cologne, where he presented his "Das Haus - Interiors on Stage" concept.
This Bell table has become a modern classic, winning the prestigious Red Dot design award. The base is made from translucent glass, blown by hand into a wooden mould, contrasted by the metal frame which supports the crystal glass top. The Bell Miniature Side Table Ø10cm, available in a range of colours, is a perfect replica of the original model and is a stunning eye-catching ornament anywhere in the home.
