The Assolo Wall Lamp / Ceiling Lamp was created by Luta Bettonica for eminent Italian lighting label Cini & Nils.
The brand began life in 1969 when two young designers, Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi, sought to take their unique lighting creations direct to the market without the hassle of dealing with middle men. The venture proved to be successful and within only a couple of years the pair had released a wide variety of must-have lighting products that earned commercial success and critical praise. Many of their designs can now be found on display at art museums across the globe, with pieces like the Cuboluce table lamp proving to be ahead of its time by tearing down strict definitions of function and aesthetic flare. Today, Franco's daughter Luta oversees operations as president of the brand, as well as continuing on her father's creative legacy as a chief designer in her own right.
The Assolo Wall Lamp / Ceiling Lamp is the ideal choice for more contemporary interiors, with a ring-shaped frame serving as an eye-catching complement to a more modern décor. LED lights line the inner circumference of this fixture, meaning that light emitted maintains a tight and concentrated field that doesn't spill and disperse.
