The Gufram design is unique, playful and provocative - simply unmistakable. The main fabric used by the Italian furniture company is primarily polyurethane - a very durable plastic. Gufram stands for pieces of furniture in pop design, and the various collections prove it. They originated in the 70s and have lost none of their appeal. The Italian designers succeeded in the balancing act between art and appealing product design. The aim was to create an alternative to the then widespread elegant style in the furniture world - and they succeeded masterfully. Some parts of the collections can be found in museums.
Gufram Cactus - Cactus shaped coat stand
The Gufram Cactus, cactus as a coat stand was one of the first components of the new collection. The 1.7m high desert plant is actually almost too good to hang coats and jackets on. The Gufram Cactus is also very good as an ornamental furniture piece, with which you will surely attract attention. This piece of furniture art is covered with a special coating that can be easily washed off.
Bocca Sofa - Lighthearted design by Gufram
Among the Gufram classics is also theBocca Sofa. A chair shaped like a giant mouth. Typically, you get the Gufram Bocca collection not only in the signature red, but also bright pink or in the Gothic version in dark black - including piercing ring. The Italian designers were inspired by artist Salvador Dali, who at the end of the 1930s had already created a lip-shaped sofa, modelled on the lips of the American actress Mae West.
Even today, new variants of the famous Gufram collections still appear. Thus, the famous Gufram design lives on in various special editions.
