Anthologie Quartett

Anthologie Quartett's story of success began in September 1983. Anthologie Quartett presented themselves as a collection of the architecture, design, art, and fashion gallery “Quartett” in Hannover, Germany. The first collection with designs by Ettore Sottsass, Bellefast, Matteo Thun, Borek Sipek, and Daniel Weil was shown at the Furnishing Show in Cologne, Germany, in January 1984. Eight months later it was also shown at the Furnishing Show in Milan. The company's spin-off then happened in the year 1987 to create the label Anthologie Quartett. Ever since, Anthologie Quartett have been an independent company with their HQ in a magnificent castle in Hünnefeld / Bad Essen in Lower Saxony, Germany.

In the beginning of the 1980s Anthologie Quartett sold mostly accessories and smaller objects by more than 50 national designers. Later in the 1990s the design company also designed more and more lamps and furniture. Thusly, in the year 1998, the company's closet collection “Ensemble” was first shown at the Furnishing Show in Cologne. In the same year the collection “Gartenreich – lamps, furniture, and objects for the summer and winter garden” made Anthologie Quartett famous at the Ambiente in Frankfurt.

Anthologie Quartett worked more and more on the designs for lamps in the beginning of the 1990s, and the first lamp collection by the label was launched soon after. This collection was first only made up of a few, however impressive individual items. With the turn of the millennium lamps became Anthologie Quartett's main focus and further beautiful Anthologie Quartett light collections were created.

Anthologie Quartett is active in the most diverse fields. Next to furniture, lamps, and outdoor items the design company also distributes various objects, such as fruit bowls, boxes, and mirrors. Additionally we rediscovered three products from the original field of expertise by Anthologie Quartett: the Florentine Hat, the Fruit and Vegetable Box in three sizes, and the “Italian army's folding chair”.

Especially popular are the exquisite Anthologie Quartett lamps. In our online shop you will find glamorous, as well as imaginative Anthologie Quartett lighting objects. One of the most famous lamps by the company are the already numerously copied Cellula suspension lamp. In sparkles beautifully, especially above the dining table. Illuminated with its many crystals are also the Crystal Rain ceiling lamp and the Rain Wall wall lamp. The Light Colors wall lamp with its colourful leaves not only looks great in the nursery.

Along the lines of “Diamonds are a girl's best friend!”, we at say: „Anthologie Quartett lamps are our best friends!“
