Product description

The Bontà Plate Glass has been created by Davide Oldani and Attila Veress for the brand Artemide. This product brought together the unlikely pairing of Romanian-born industrial designer Veress and Michelin star chef Oldani. The two collaborated to come up with a piece that could work both for food and lighting. The Bontà Plate Glass is the detachable top that goes over the BontàPortable Table Lamp. The lamp was designed to combine three things that go together- food, light and a festive ambiance. The glass bowl that goes at the top of the lamp can hold food items or a decorative item such as a flower or tealight. It is made from milk glass that is worked by hand. This process gives it a unique texture, transparency and its colour. The plate has a round wooden base that fits snugly over the top of the lamp and this can also support the plate if it is detached from the lamp.

The Bontà Plate Glass has a diameter of 26cm and a height of 7.2cm. It is available in red, grey, topaz or turquoise to match the glass on the portable lamp.
