The Tonale Carafe, designed by David Chipperfield for Alessi, is part of the Tonale crockery collection and is the further development of a project started in 1996.
The british architect David Chipperfield wasn't only inspired by Morandi's works, but also by traditional asian ceramics. These influences are combined in Tonale to create a versatile collection of objects that form a unit thanks to their colour coordination and basic shapes.
This eclectic collection is made up of numerous components, like a tray, carafe, plates, and bowls in various sizes as well as glassware and cups.
The water jug presented here (0.75l) is made of hand-blown crystal glass and convinces us with its elegant simplicity! It completes the Tonale series with a true design beauty.
Winner of Compasso d'Oro Award 2011 and Good Design Award 2011!
