Graduate Shelf System

The Graduate Shelf System was designed in the year 2003 by Jean Nouvel for the Italian design label Molteni & C.
The Graduate Shelf System lives up to its name and really deserved its (university) graduation. For Graduate sports a couple of great features: For one, the shelf system is beautifully delicate, yet guarantees a maximum load of 25 kg thanks to its complex tension rod system. The shelf seems airy and not too massive, especially suited for bringing some lightness into smaller or darker rooms without having to renounce great storage space.
The Graduate Shelf System is made up as follows: On top a strong wooden board is installed, to which carriers made of anodized aluminium are connected. In between the wood and aluminium shelves are inserted with invisible hooks. This way the Graduate Shelf System by Molteni & C floats on the wall without suffering a loss of stability.
