The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSS by Vitra was designed in its original version as early as 1950 by Charles & Ray Eames.

The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSS is the re-edition of the legendary "fibreglass chair", initially designed for the competition "Low Cost Furniture Design" by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The label Vitra now produces the DSS with more environmentally friendly materials, your chance to purchase one of these popular design objects!

The frame of the Eames Plastic Side Chair DSS by Vitra is made of chrome-plated steel - if you wish with or without linking element with which you can link chairs together to make rows of chairs. The seat of the DSS is made of polypropylene. For the colour of the seat shell you have a choice of different colours, next to white we also carry this chair in the shades red, mauve, and black.

DSS stands for Dining height Side chair Stacking base.

Among other versions, the Eames Plastic Side Chair by Vitra is also available with wooden legs, known as DSW, and with a four-legged steel tube base, known as DSX.
