The Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR is the re-edition of the legendary "fibreglass chair", initially designed for the competition "Low Cost Furniture Design" by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The label Vitra now produces the DSR with more environmentally friendly materials, your chance to purchase one of these popular design objects!

The frame of the Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR by Vitra is made of chrome-plated steel, the seat of polypropylene. For the colour of the seat shell you have a choice of different colours, next to white we also carry this chair in the shades red, ocean blue, and mustard yellow.

DSR stands for Dining height Side chair Rod base, the frame of the chair is made up of several steel elements that partially run parallel, it is highly reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, which also brought it the name Eiffel Tower frame.

Among other versions, the Eames Plastic Side Chair by Vitra is also available with wooden legs, known as DSW, and with a four-legged steel tube base, known as DSX.
