A plastic luminous disc, particularly well adapted to the latest generation of slim, circular fluorescent bulbs. This type of lighting became acceptable for domestic use when new developments in fluorescent light sources produced colour temperatures that rescued the old neon tube from what were once predominantly greenish tones.
