At AmbienteDirect.com it is very easy to keep track of your order's shipping costs. The shipping cost for each product are automatically displayed on the product page!
As soon as you have selected the product quantity and the destination of your order, a cleverly worked out calculator will display the exact shipping costs for you.
In case you wish to order a number of different products, the shipping costs for the whole order will be displayed in your electronic shopping cart. Simply add your desired products to the shopping cart and view your cart by clicking the little black shopping cart logo in the upper right corner.
Shipping costs in detail
Parcel shipping
Parcel shipments (e.g., accessories, lights, small furniture, stools) with a minimum merchandise value of EUR 150.- are delivered free of charge within Germany. For orders with a merchandise value lower than EUR 150.- we charge a fixed shipping cost of EUR 5.-.
However, special arrangements with certain manufacturers allow us to usually send parcels free of charge within Germany. These include: Alessi, Eva Solo, Stelton, Sitting Bull, Kartell, Magis.
Freight shipping
Freight shipments (e.g., furniture, design classics, large lights) with a minimum merchandise value of EUR 850.- are delivered free of charge within Germany. For orders with a merchandise value lower than EUR 850.- we charge a shipping cost of 5% of the total merchandise value, however never less than EUR 9.-.
Optional auxiliary services
In addition to our regular services we offer you further options that you can book for a small extra fee to make the delivery of your order as easy for you as possible: Express shipping, the White Glove Delivery service and the door-to-door service.
Express shipping
If you order in-stock goods eligible of parcel shipping (no bulky goods), we offer express shipping within Germany. Should this order reach us before 1 pm (CET), it will be delivered to you on the next workday! For express shipping we charge a onetime surcharge of EUR 20.-.
Premium service
If you order goods eligible of freight shipping (e.g., tables, sofas, refrigerators), we offer the Premium service within Germany. Two assistants deliver the goods to any destination designated by you, e.g., directly into your living room. The goods are then unpacked and also the disposal of the packaging material is taken care of. For the Premium service we charge a onetime surcharge of EUR 89.-.
Door-to-door service
For our customers on other continents we offer despatch via air freight plus delivery of the goods into the house for goods eligible of freight shippment. For more information please contact our ServiceCentre.

Further information
- Are you living outside of the European Union? For deliveries outside of the European Union there might be extra
custom duties charged through our freight company. Please note that for every export from Germany to Non-European
countries customs duties and local taxes will be borne by the
recipient.
- Are you living in Switzerland? Then please note that every delivery from abroad is taxable for VAT and liable to duty. For all postal shipments the customer - private as well as business - is regarded as an importer and is obligated to pay all costs arising in the shipping process. These are charged by the Swiss Post or the haulage contractor.
