Bedside Gun - a design commited to politics: the Bedside Gun by Phillippe Starck. This controversally discussed quaint taboo-braker actually has a very simple intention: with his unusual and provocative gun-design Starck wants to shed light on the governments' global weapons export. So the Bedside Gun's Beretta stands for Europe's responsibility concerning this matter. The gold plated stem strikingly reminds of the disasterous connection between war and profit. The stem of the Bedside Gun is made of zamak and 18-carat gold plated, the black matt diffuser is of paper with gold-coloured print on the inside.
